Frequently Asked Questions

The Movement Collective is not built around quick adjustments, rushed visits, or generic exercise sheets.

Our care is for people who want more from their body and more from their provider.

We take time to listen, look closely, and build care around your goals, your lifestyle, and the season of life you are in.

You get 1:1 time with a doctor, a detailed evaluation, and care that may include hands-on chiropractic care, movement assessment, strength work, sport-specific rehab, pregnancy and postpartum support, or gentle pediatric care.

The goal is not just temporary relief.

The goal is to help your body support the life you want to live.

No.

Chiropractic adjustments may be part of your care, but they are not the whole picture.

Depending on what you need, your visit may include soft tissue work, mobility, strength training, rehab-based exercise, corrective exercises, breathing strategies, sport-specific training,  bodywork, or education to help you feel more confident in your body.

We use what fits your body and your goals.

We work with active adults, women, children, and families across Northern Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts who want more than basic care.

That includes golfers, weightlifters, CrossFit athletes, gym-goers, tennis players, pregnant women, postpartum moms, women preparing for pregnancy, and parents looking for gentle pediatric chiropractic care for their child.

Most people who come to us are not looking for the bare minimum.

They want care that matches their goals, their family, their sport, and their future.

Our visits are intentionally longer than what most people are used to.

All of our visits are 60 minutes.

You are not rushed in and out.

You are not passed from person to person.

You get focused 1:1 time with a doctor.

That gives us space to listen, assess, treat, teach, and adjust your care as your body changes.

Your first visit is what we call a Discovery Visit.

The Discovery visit is complementary, and it's designed to help you feel comfortable, heard, and clear before starting care.

We will talk about what has been going on, what you have tried, what matters most to you, and what you want to feel confident doing again.

For performance care, that may mean talking about knee pain while training in the gym, lower back pain while golfing, or shoulder pain while playing tennis.

For perinatal or postpartum care, that may mean talking about pregnancy discomfort, birth preparation, pelvic pain, postpartum recovery, or how you want to feel in your body through this season.

For pediatric care, that may mean talking about latch, reflux, torticollis, tummy time, body tension, digestion, movement, or development.

You should leave with a better feel for who we are, how we care for people, and whether this feels like the right fit.

We work with active adults and growing families across Northern Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts who want more than basic care.

Almost never, but depends on the situation.

Our goal is not to take away the things that matter to you unless it is truly necessary.

In many cases, we help you make smart adjustments while building your body back toward the activity you love.

We are not here to tell active people to simply rest forever.

We are here to help you move with more confidence.

The Movement Collective is an out-of-network chiropractic practice.

That means we are not directly contracted with insurance companies.

This allows us to spend more time with you, provide individualized 1:1 care, and make decisions based on your goals instead of insurance limitations.

Many people come to us because they have tried traditional in-network care and felt rushed, limited, or like the care did not match what they were actually trying to get back to.

That is not the kind of care we are interested in providing.

We hold ourselves to a higher standard, and we believe you should be able to expect more from your care, too.

Regardless of insurance, we always start with a phone call so you can talk through what is going on, ask questions, and see if The Movement Collective feels like the right fit.

We are also upfront about pricing before you begin, so there are no surprises.

Out-of-network means your visits are paid directly to The Movement Collective instead of being billed through insurance as an in-network visit.

For many people, this allows for a better experience: more time, more attention, and care that is built around what you actually need.

Some people may also have out-of-network benefits through their insurance plan and may be able to submit receipts for possible reimbursement.

Our team can help explain what that looks like before you book.

Yes, we accept HSA and FSA cards.

Many patients use their HSA or FSA to help cover the cost of care, especially because The Movement Collective is an out-of-network chiropractic practice.

Every plan is different, so we always recommend confirming with your HSA or FSA provider if you have specific questions about eligibility.

Our team always makes sure to talk through payment options with you before you come in, so you feel clear and comfortable before getting started.

No referral is needed to request a phone call, schedule a complimentary Discovery Visit, or begin care with The Movement Collective.

The best place to start is a phone call with our team so you can talk through what is going on and see if our care feels like the right fit.

We will be honest with you.

Our goal is not to convince every person to become a patient.

Our goal is to help you feel clear and confident about your care.

If we believe another provider, service, or type of care would be better for you, we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

Start by requesting a phone call with our team.

We will talk with you about what is going on, what you are hoping for, and which type of care may be the best fit for you.

From there, you may be invited in for a complimentary Discovery Visit so you can meet us, ask questions, and see if The Movement Collective feels like the right place for you.
